Features
Small and Lightweight
The Binks 460 Automatic Spray Gun is a precision spray gun for use on automatic and semi-automatic machines. It is small and lightweight (only 210 g/7.25 oz). Its compact dimensions allow it to be installed in tight spaces, where standard automatic spray guns cannot be accommodated. It can be mounted on a 1/2″ [12.7 mm] diameter rod using the mounting hole in the top of the gun. The air and material connections are arranged so that both hoses run along the gun arm, minimizing interference with movement.
Air/Fluid Supply Control
Both gun activation and spray pattern variation are controlled from a single air supply hose. There are two control valves on the gun head: one adjusts the spray width (from round to maximum fan), and the other controls the airflow to the nozzle. A user-supplied remote two-way control valve triggers the gun. The atomizing air is switched on before the material to eliminate spitting or dripping.
Note!
This spray gun has a double numbering system, meaning the same part has two different numbers depending on the version of the manual. For example, the “piston” is numbered “54-2872” in one manual and “18 45 76” in another.
Applications
Virtually all liquid coatings, very commonly used in cold-end coating during glass container production
