Air-Operated Double Diaphragm Pump for Paint Supply
In order to reduce overall costs and downtime, the bumper painting department of Samvardhana Motherson Peguform looked for a new solution for the paint supply. They decided to go for a double diaphragm pump of Timmer-Pneumatic.
The air operated diaphragm pumps, installed in closed circular pipe systems, are used for base coats, solvents, adhesives, primers and highly viscous paste based paints (for example, white paint).
Features → Advantages:
- New compact design
→ much lower pulsation levels than conventional diaphragm pumps
→ shape of the pump keeps stresses on the diaphragms to a minimum → long service life
→ supplies the required volume of liquid by using minimum amount of compressed air → low rinsing pressure during the clean-in-place (CIP) process → reduced solvent consumption and fast colour changeover
→ fewer dead spaces
- Low-wear ceramic valve
→ ensures that the pump will start reliably (output starts from 0.5 bar)
- ATEX certification
→ high safety level
These diaphragm pumps are available for high working pressure of max. 20 bar and 3:1 Ratio (High Pressure Double Diaphragm Pump)
