Krautzberger launches new Fluid Pressure Regulators

Fluid pressure regulators (material pressure regulators) are important parts of paint supply lines. They help to compensate pressure fluctuations coming from diaphragm pumps or other reciprocating paint supply devices. Krautzberger has now launched a new range of pneumatic (remote controlled) fluid pressure regulators for the precise regulation of water-based and solvent-based paints and fluids.

Material Regulation from as low as 0.1 bar [1.45 psi]

Stable and accurate material regulation at even very low fluid pressure is one of the main features of the new Krautzberger FPR 2 and FPR 6 fluid pressure regulators. In fact, the material pressure can be regulated starting from as low as 0.1 bar [1.45 psi] by applying operating air pressure between 0.4 to 0.5 bar [5.8-7.2 psi].

Dynamic Outlet Pressure through Reduction Ratio

The Krautzberger FPR 2 and FPR 6 fluid pressure regulators allow an easy change of the reduction ratio by means of a conversion kit/piece. This allows to regulate different material outlet pressures in a more precise range.


Recommended Reduction Ratios:

  • Dynamic material outlet pressure of 0.1-1.2 bar [1.5-17.4 psi] → reduction ratio 1:5
  • Dynamic material outlet pressure of 1.0 – 2.2 bar [14.5-31.9 psi] → reduction ratio 1:2
  • Dynamic material outlet pressure of 2.0 – 5.0 bar [29.0-72.5] → reduction ratio 1:1

In general, all wetted parts of the regulators are made from stainless steel. And there is an option for the ball seat made from tungsten carbide (for abrasive paints). Another option is a quick-flush control function for cleaning. This feature redirects control air straight onto the material diaphragm through a quick-flush connection (which then opens the valve without affecting the control air settings).
