DeVilbiss launches new SRi Pro SMART repair spray gun

Replacing the existing SRi spray gun, the Pro version is an all-new gun based on the successful ‘i-system Pro’ range of compliant guns which are now sold worldwide. The gun has the distinctive DeVilbiss Pro gun looks and the gun body is protectively anodised in a shade of purple with all key parts chrome plated for durability.

European marketing manager Ian Bunker said: “We now have a complete range of six compliant gun models to suit the working requirements of professional car, van, truck, bus and now SMART/Spot repair painters.

“The mass of improvements made when the GTi was upgraded to Pro status equally apply to the small and lightweight SRi Pro – it has the same performance with fine atomisation, superb control for detail small area work and great material distribution for fast and easy application.”
A new handle dramatically improves the comfort and balance of the gun when trying to do delicate detail work. That’s helped by a genuine two-finger trigger and air valve for ultra-smooth, kick-free triggering and control. So during fading and blending there is no fear of paint spits from excessive pressure bursts. A sprayer can rely on pulling the trigger and knowing exactly where the fluid point is regardless of inlet pressure.

This is no cosmetic face lift – the SRi Pro is a completely new spray gun and – apart from the gravity cup and the air cap sealing ring – there is no single component part carried over from the SRi/SRiW launched seven years ago.

There are three air compliant caps which allow SRi Pro guns to be used for a complete SMART repair operation – primer, base and clear coat. Two fan spray and one round spray cap ensure suitability for all types of work including complete panel or bumper work with the spreader air control wide open.
